The GBC 4500S shredder has a 36 gallon shred bin and a continuous duty rated motor. The shredder has an auto on-off button and an EZ-feed throat. The shredder also has an auto on-off jam and a bag full shut off. The 4500S features SmartShred Controls - separate indicator lights for power on, bin full, overload and door ajar. You also get an in-cabinet bag storage compartment on the 4500S which ensures bags are always at your fingertips.

Most shredders can shred four or five pages at a time, but some large machines can shred up to twenty five pages at once!
If you're purchasing a very large shredder, the lid and shred mechanism may be heavy or cumbersome, so look for a side-loading or slide-out basket rather than a unit where you have to lift the top off to empty it.
An overfilled wastebasket may interfere with the shredder's output, and can even cause already shredded paper to be drawn back into the shredder, causing it to jam.
