  • To get the best scan possible, make sure your scanner settings are set correctly for that particular image type e.g. colour or b/w.

  • An easy way to get a feel for any given scanning option is to scan the same image with different settings and compare the results.

  • Bear in mind that the higher the resolution of a scan, the larger the file will be.
