Always read the user guide that comes with your projector before you do anything. Every projector is unique and the information provided is exclusive to your device.
An LCD Projector draws less power and throws less heat.
Some older model projectors may have a main on/off switch in addition to a projector lamp on/off switch. For these models, first turn the projector lamp off and only once it powers down, turn the projector off.
