Reviews

  • All shredders require periodic oiling in order to help remove dust and buildup on the blades which can otherwise lead to jamming or other mechanical problems.

  • Some materials to avoid shredding are paper clips, cardboard and heavy card stock. They may bend the teeth of the shredder and strain the motor.

  • A strip-cut shredder cuts the paper into strips between one-eighth and one-half inch thick; the smaller the strips, the more difficult it is to reassemble the document.
