It's easy to burn out a motor by dropping unopened envelopes and junk mail into the shredder, which may contain more paper than the shredder can handle.
In the event of your shredder's motor overheating, turn it off for at least 15 minutes, allowing the motor to cool down before using the shredder again.
If your shredder jams, and the forward and reverse buttons are not moving the paper, unplug your shredder and contact a qualified person to help.
