Many people underestimate the amount of paper they think they will shred. It is better to buy a shredder that is a bit too large than to pay high maintenance fees for a shredder that is too small and, therefore, overworked.
A strip-cut shredder cuts the paper into strips between one-eighth and one-half inch thick; the smaller the strips, the more difficult it is to reassemble the document.
The opening of a shredder can affect its capacity, because if it is small, you will need to fold the paper to fit it into the machine.
