Try to allow your projector time to cool down. When the projector is running, the bulb produces heat which needs time to dissipate so the filament and the rest of the device can stabilize. Moving a projector when the filament is hot can cause damage.
To extend your projector’s lamp life, leave your projector to cool down completely before you turn it off, unplug it, or move it.
Some older model projectors may have a main on/off switch in addition to a projector lamp on/off switch. For these models, first turn the projector lamp off and only once it powers down, turn the projector off.
