Quick Tips
- Most printers have a built-in diagnostics program which can be very useful for troubleshooting problems and test-printing without a computer. They are usually initiated by pressing a button or two while turning on the printer
- Use paper types manufactured specifically for your printer. Make sure to select the correct paper type for your print job!
- Allow ink to dry completely in order to avoid smudging. The time it takes to dry will vary based on the ink and paper quality used as well as the temperature and humidity conditions
- When power is applied, you should hear the print mechanism initialize and most printers have at least one light which will be illuminated when it is on
