The letters at the end of many HP Printer models are not just there to confuse you. If you understand them correctly, you can learn the main features of any HP Printer model – just by reading its name!

Look at the following table to gain a better understanding of what the letters mean. You can save yourself a lot of time when looking for the printer you need if you are familiar with these letter codes.

So, for example, the difference between an HP Laserjet 4250 Printer and an HP LaserJet 4250N Printer is that the latter has the additional feature of Networking.
